Public Law 94-580, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, is part of U.S Code, Title 42. Copies of the U.S. Code may be obtained through the Congressional Sales Office, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENT: The offerer/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with the Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A. Responsibility for inspections. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all the Inspection requirements of this CID. Except facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The government reserves the right to perform the inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. (See Section 6, Ordering Data).
B. Sampling: sampling shall be performed in accordance with MTL-STD-105.
(1) Sampling for Visual Inspection. A random sample of tape dispensers shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-3 with an Acceptable Quality levl (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one tape dispenser.
(2) Sampling for Dimensional Inspections: A random sample of tape dispensers shall be taken for each lot. The inspection level shall be S-3 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one tape dispenser.
(3) Sampling for Tests: A random sample of tape dispensers shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-1 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one tape dispenser.
(4) Sampling for Preparation for Delivery: For examination of the preparation for delivery. The sample unit shall be one shipping container fully prepared for delivery, selected at random. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective.
