(4) Examination for Preparation for Delivery. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B.4 shall be examined to determined compliance with Section 5.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY.
A. Packaging and Packing Provisions. Each tape dispenser shall be packaged to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling and storage. Packaged tape dispensers shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The packing container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be such to insure carrier acceptable and safe delivery to destination, complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation to be used.
B. Marking.
(1) For Shipment to Civilian Agencies. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).
(2) For Shipment to Military Activities. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).
6. ORDERING DATA: Purchasers should select the preferred options permitted herein, and include the following information in procurement documents:
(A) Title, number, and date of this Commercial Item Description.
(B) Arrangement for inspections and inspection facilities, if different than provisions under Quality Assurance.
(C) Special packaging and packing, if different than provisions in Packaging and Packing.
(D) The length selection settings.
