The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description
1. SCOPE: This commercial item description covers racks for holding rubber stamps. The rubber stamp racks shall be of the following types and sizes, as specified.
Type I- Wheel rack
Size 1 Six stamps (1 wheel)
Size 2 Fourteen stamps (2 wheels)
Size 3 Twenty-four stamps (3 wheels)
Type II- Strip rack
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
A. Construction.
Type I rack. The type I rack shall consist of a base, wheel(s), extension stud(s), and a locking device. The base, extension studs, and locking device shall be provided with appropriate threads.
Base. The base shall be circular, hexagonal, or octagonal in shape and not less than 13.34 cm (5-1/4)” in diameter. Hexagonal and octagonal bases shall be measured across the flats to determine measurement. The rack shall be stable during normal usage.
