THE FOLLOWING TEST IS FOR TYPE II ONLY
6.3 Effect on Rubber Stamp. The type face of a clean rubber stamp shall be immersed for 10 days in a sample of Type II ink. Surplus ink shall then be removed from the stamp and impressions shall be made with the stamp on test paper in accordance with A-A-2804A, type III white bond paper having a pH of 5.0 with a basis weight of 60 grams per square meter (16 pound, 17x22-500). A tolerance of 5% is allowable. Paper for this test shall have an additional requirement of 160-140seconds maximum smoothness on both sides using the Sheffield method per the most current TAPPI T538 test method. Alternately, paper conforming to JCP-O-60 can be used as an alternate source. The impressions shall be sharp and regular in outline.
