PEN RUBBERIZED BARREL, REFILLS
(RETRACTABLE & STICK)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description by all federal agencies.
1. Scope: This Commercial Item Description covers ink cartridge refills for rubberized barreled pens.
2. Classification:
Types: I - Refill, (For Retractable Pens/With Spring Attachment)
II - Refill, (For Stick Pens)
Size: A. Fine Point
B. Medium Point
3. Salient Characteristics:
3.1 Type I refills shall consist of a point containing a non-corrosive ball with a spring attached to a plastic cylindrical cartridge containing permanent ink. The overall length of this type refills shall be 10.6 cm ± 1.3 cm (4.2 inches ± .5 inches). Additionally, these ink cartridges shall be interchangeable with type I pens in accordance with the latest revision of commercial item description A-A-2905.
3.2 Type II refills shall consist of a point containing a non-corrosive ball, and a plastic cylindrical cartridge containing permanent ink. The overall length of this type refill shall be 13.9 ± 1.3 cm (5.5 ± .5 inches). Additionally, these ink cartridges shall be interchangeable with type II pens in accordance with the latest revision of commercial item description A-A-2905. The refills shall be furnished in the following colors: Black, Blue, Red.
