4.2.1 Weight support test. Remove the inner binder from the outer case and place the outer case on a flat table surface in the usual filing position. Place a 2.268-kilogram (5-pound) weight across the top surface of the outer case. Then place a straight–edge to the sides of the outer case and measure the bend or bulge. The sides of the case shall not bend or bulge more than 1.27 cms (1/2 inch).
