Design. The cases shall be designed for
maintenance, transfer or storage of index cards, and shall permit easy removal
and replacement of cards without damage. Each case shall be covered and the
interior shall be lined with a suitable paper as described. Each case shall
have a follower (compressor) as described.
Identification marking. Each transfer case shall be permanently and
legibly marked with the name or trademark of the manufacturer.
Workmanship. All cases shall be free from any defects and imperfections which affect appearance or may impair the serviceability. The bottom, corners, strips, follower, and label holder shall be properly secured. The covering and lining materials shall be neatly cemented to present s smooth and uniform appearance. The cover shall fit properly and shall open and close smoothly.
Regulatory requirements. In accordance with the section 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Government’s policy is to acquire items composed of the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent with maintaining a satisfactory level of competition without adversely affecting performance requirements or exposing supplier’s employees to undue hazards from the recovered materials.
Preservation,packaging,packing,labeling,and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
Notes. Purchaser shall specify size.
