2.8 The shoulder cradle shall be no less than 13.97 cm. (5-1/2”) (length) by 2.54 cm (1”) (width).
2.9 Each holder shall have a set of assembly instructions printed on the unit or included in, or on each package.
2.10 Wormaship:
The Receiver Holder and Shoulder Cradle (whether metal or plastic) shall be free of defects, including, but not limited to, burrs, niches, dents, rough or sharp edges, scratches, blisters, crinkling, imbedded foreign matter, discoloration or imperfections which will impair serviceability and affect the appearance or which might constitute a personal hazard to the user.
2.11 Corrosion Resistance:
All metal parts shall be resistant to corrosion. Individual parts shall be either corrosion resistant stainless or anodized, plated, painted, finished with baked enamel, subjected to a bluing process, or whatever is commercially appropriate for the specific function of the part. Contractor shall provide a manufacturer’s chemical certification of corrosion resistance, upon the request by the Government.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with paragraph 23,403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
Certification. The contractor shall certify that polystyrene is used in the manufacture of this item, it shall contain a minimum of 25 percent postconsumer recovered materials in accordance with the 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 247, Comprehensive Guideline for Procurement of Products Containing Recovered Material; Final rule. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provision of the contract.
4. .QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS:
4.1 Contractor Certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantial evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices.
